Admission Price

Admission is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children from 12 to 17 years old. Children under 12 are admitted for $1.00. These prices cover admission to both the Museum and the Jail. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Two Locations for the Price of One!

We have two locations for you to enjoy.  The main Museum is located at 212 West Walnut and the historic Bushwhacker Jail is located a block away at 231 North Main.  One admission price gives you access to both locations.

Museum Hours

The Bushwhacker Museum and Jail are open for tours by Appointment Only, Tuesday-Friday, November 1-April 30. Appointments can be made over the phone or by e-mail and must be made at least 48 hours in advance of tour time. 

To schedule a special tour or research time, please call 417-667-9602 between 9:00AM and 5:00PM, Tuesday-Friday. Tours and research time must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Thank you.

Groups

If you will be touring with a large group, please call ahead to ensure that we can comfortably accommodate all of you. If normal hours do not fit your circumstances, please let us know, and we will arrange special tours. We can arrange reservations at local restaurants or have lunch catered for your group right in the Museum.  Just call us at 417-667-9602.  Please click here for more group tour information.
